Come and Join Us

The Western Australian Camera Club welcomes new members.

Many prospective members start by visiting the club for a meeting or two to help them decide whether they would enjoy participating.

All our meetings are open to visitors. We gather twice a month on Monday nights at 7.30 in the Tuart Hill Community Centre, Grenville Reserve, Corner of Stoneham and Cape Streets, Tuart Hill.

Membership

Applying for membership is easy.

Complete a nomination form at any club meeting and lodge it with one of the committee members.

Annual fees are currently $80 (or pro rata for half a year if you join after June).

A once-only joining fee of $15 covers the costs of a badge and the membership joining pack.

If you are interested, please make enquiries about ordering a club T-Shirt if you want to stand out in a crowd and blend in with the rest of the club!

Competitions

The club conducts monthly competitions with four categories, open to all members.

Images are entered into print and digital sections. The syllabus prescribes a set topic for each month and there is also an open section, where you choose the subject of the pictures.  The open sections alternate between colour and monochrome images each month.

An independent judge scores and provides feedback on all entries.

Workshops

Workshops are also held regularly. These cover subjects of interest to members ranging from technical matters to talks on interesting themes.  Workshops often include guest speakers who are experts in their specialist photographic area.

Social Outings

A monthly outing or excursion is also scheduled.

These events focus on social interaction and group photography. They often relate to a location or venue of interest.
